Questions, answered
Everything people ask before they start. Still curious? Write to us.
Is The Fit Chef free?
Yes. The free plan includes nine full recipes, today’s meal plan, one-tap logging, water and a shopping list. Pro unlocks every recipe, whole-week planning and auto-plan.
How accurate are the macros?
Every recipe is calculated from the gram weight of each ingredient using USDA FoodData Central values. Nothing is typed in by hand, so calories and macros always match the ingredient list.
Is it for fat loss or muscle gain?
Both. Set your goal to lose fat, maintain or build muscle and The Fit Chef suggests a calorie and protein target, then plans meals around it.
How many ingredients do the recipes need?
Eight or fewer, not counting salt and pepper. Most are ready in 20 minutes or less.
Does it work with Apple Health and Health Connect?
Yes. On iPhone The Fit Chef syncs with Apple Health, and on Android with Health Connect. It writes meals and water, and reads weight and workouts to keep your targets honest.
Can I meal prep with it?
Yes. Bowl week plans five lunches from one cooked base, and the shopping list merges duplicates and groups items by aisle.
Do I need to weigh my food?
No. Every ingredient is listed in grams so the macros are exact, but you can eyeball portions once you know them. Weighing for the first week or two helps you learn what a portion looks like.
Can vegetarians use it?
Yes. Filter by Vegetarian or Vegan, or by protein source. Tofu, lentils, chickpeas, eggs and dairy all appear across the library.
What does protein powder mean in a recipe?
Any vanilla or chocolate whey, about 78 g protein per 100 g. We never name a brand. You can also filter recipes with or without powder.
Does it work offline?
Yes. Recipes, your plan and your shopping list are stored on your phone.
Can I cancel Pro?
Any time, from your App Store or Google Play account. Your plans and logs stay yours either way.
Is my data private?
Your data stays on your device unless you turn on sync. We never sell personal data.
Your next meal, already planned.
